Mission

To establish the concept of sustainable development in the Jordan Badia by encouraging active participation within the local communities and the implementation of environmental, social, and economic projects, while maintaining and respecting the existing culture and habits.

 Vision

To make the Badia region an attractive place to live, and suitable for investment initiatives through the optimal utilization of natural and human resources, thus reducing poverty and unemployment, and improving the living conditions of the local people.

 Objectives

  1. Support and/or fund the implementation of income generating activities that will reduce poverty.

 2. Support the implementation of projects and initiatives that aim at protecting the Badia’s environment and resources.

3. Support and fund the activities of civil society organizations that encourage active participation of local communities, especially women, in the development process in the Badia.

 4. Plan and implement projects that promote the Badia as a destination for environmental, historical, and adventure tourism.

5. Build a comprehensive database for the natural resources that exist in the Badia to provide potential investors with the necessary information for development projects.

6. Establish partnerships with local and international institutions to support the design and implementation of the various development initiatives in the Badia.
